    Overview

Ranlytics was founded to address a fundamental shift in the way the world uses wireless communication, and they've been quietly revolutionising the telecommunications industry ever since. In simple terms, Ranlytics builds the tools that tell you whether your mobile network is actually working the way it should. They offer network operators, regulators, system integrators, and enterprise clients automated solutions that are faster, easier to use, more cost-effective, and more scalable than anything the industry had seen before. Founded in Australia and operating as a SaaS and B2B platform, their technology is used across hospitals, transport networks, university campuses, and mining and energy sites – anywhere that reliable wireless connectivity isn't just convenient, it's critical. With near real-time insights, same-day reporting, and tools built for both technical and non-technical users, Ranlytics has positioned itself as one of the
most innovative names in wireless network testing and monitoring on a global scale.

    Challenge

With a data-heavy web application serving two very different audiences – technical engineers and non-technical business stakeholders. The challenge was to modernise the existing complex UI and simplify navigation without stripping away the depth that power users depended on. I helped lead the UX research and UI design across key features including the Engineer and Business workbenches, alert setup and scheduling, network signal comparison charts, and a refined report generation flow, reducing friction at every step while ensuring the right level of detail landed in front of the right user. Every design decision balanced complexity with clarity. The navigation architecture was restructured to reduce cognitive load, the report export journey was reimagined from the ground up for a faster, more intuitive UX, and the visual interface was refined to feel modern, trustworthy, and precise — befitting a platform handling real-time, high-resolution network data.
